Excel Notes

Import CSV  = (comma separate values ) it is a standardized format. So it can read by everyone= computers 


Absolute and relative references  = A1 is a cell references- relative cell referencing -  when  the formula changes when you copy and paste. - absolute = cell reference will absoulty always refer to that cell even if u copy and paste. 

Named cells= is a absolute references. Another way of doing absolute references


Named Ranged = naming  a range of cells e.g Class Marks. It is automatic relative references. Makes reading formula easy.

Sum, average , maximum , minimum , integer , rounding , counting , if , loo

Perform searches using And Or Not Like(Called Filtering )   - like google search cut down options

wild cards=   wild card is a star*when you searching a kind of like the word   *th  anything. (broadens searches.)


Te first important thing when you open excel is that you open uop excel and you always go save as and save to excel workbook

all formula have a name and have brackets and they always start with equals

Te second most important thing to do is that you open all the files that you need.

when ever you open up exel NEVER highlight the title \

naming cells :  when you  tip the name you need to press enter or else you will lose all your work.
